Tivo Alert!
Just wanted to give you guys a couple of programming notes:
On Friday August 7th, ESPN 2 is showing the Giants 2007 Highlights at 2 PM (thanks queler!)
NFL Network will show the 1990 Giants highlights at 5:30 AM Saturday.
If you are like me, and live outside the tri-state area, and won't get to see the Giants-Lions game, NFL Network will show it Saturday afternoon at 4 PM.
Which leads me to a gripe:
You would think that since I am paying almost $300 a year for the NFL Sunday Ticket, the preseason games could be included
I'll be listening on Sirius tomorrow night.

another programming alert
Might want to add it to the original post for everyone, it looks like it aired last week too but ESPN has TheWorldChampion New York Giant’s NFL Yearbook, Friday, August 8 @ 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM. If you set your TIVO a few minutes early, the Pats one is on right before and you can probably catch the Pats losing twice HA!

Luckily for me
I’m home in NY for the week house-sitting for my parents while they’re in Vegas, so I get to watch the game tonight.
What I don’t get is why the week 3 preseason game against the Browns is nationally televised, while the week 4 game against the Patriots isn’t. Wouldn’t ESPN think that a rematch of one of the greatest Super Bowls ever might draw better ratings than a game against the Browns? Even if it is preseason, I would love to watch that game, but I won’t be able to.

If it was Week 2
Maybe
The problem is that the Giants and Jets always play Week 3, because its generally the game where the starters play the longest. That Week 4 game will be mostly scrubeenies for both teams, so there isn’t much intrigue
