Just a few notes in advance of tonight's game -- partially posted to get your minds off Alyssa and back on football. Tonight's game thread will be posted later on.
- Here is some player reaction to Michael Strahan's decision to stay retired.
- Eli Manning was honored Wednesday as the team's 2007 MVP.
- Assemblyman rips Giants for "gouging of fans."
- Starters will make brief appearance tonight.
- RealFootball says the Giants enter the season "impaired."

I like Strahan's decision.
Not many guys have a chance to really go out on top, and not many who do have the balls to walk away when they’re at the pinnacle. I think it show a lot of class, and a lot of self-awareness.
