Wednesday Walk Around the League 8-27
Good Morning Everyone, it is Wednesday, and its time to see what else is happening around the NFL:
- CBS Sportsline has a graph of the average price of NFL home opener tickets, and guess who's Number One?
- That sound you hear is the "Blue Shoe" Nation exhaling, because Peyton Manning practiced yesterday.
- Rick Gosselin from the Dallas Morning News has an interesting take on AFC supremacy being based on turnovers, and a fact about the Giants that I did not know.
- SI.com's Don Banks ranks each team's No. 2 quarterback.
- Former Giant WR and mrs.jrs1940 favorite Joe Jurevicius will miss the first six weeks of the season.
- If you are like me, and love early pre-game shows but hate anything and everything about ESPN, then the USA Today may have some good news for us, the NFL Network to challenge ESPN in Sunday pregame huddle.
Finally, because I care about you guys and am worried some of you may be depressed about 92 keeping the cleats on the hook, here is something to turn that frown upside down:

I got a mention.
Joe should retire before he hurts himself, you know, permanent like.

unfortunately for Indy
just because Peyton is back at practice, doesn’t mean they’re out of the woods.
for what it sounds like, Marvin Harrison had the exact same a similar injury involving his bursa sac last year. unlike Peyton, Harrison never had his removed, but battled pain and swelling the entire season. Marvin did practice, but didn’t play until their playoff game against San Diego.
i’m not saying that Peyton won’t be ready for the opener, but i wouldn’t expect him to come out and throw four TD passes while doing jumping jacks and somersaults against the Bears in the opener. not sure what % he’s going to be at for that game, but i doubt it’s anymore that 75-80% (which for Peyton is still Pro Bowl-caliber).

From what I've heard
The consecutive games streak means alot to Peyton, and with their new building having its official debut next week, I don’t think there is any way he misses that game.
Tomorrow cheerleader is never pointless
