Giants' notes, 08.27
I was very glad to see that Michael Strahan made a quick decision on whether or not he would rejoin the New York Giants. That was a class move to get the choice over with and not leave everyone wondering for days or weeks.
I will miss seeing No. 92 barreling around left end, but now we can move on and not wonder about what could be.
So, here are today's non-Michael Strahan related Giants' notes.
- Osi Umenyiora on Injured Reserve, David Tyree on PUP list headline roster moves.
- Giants say goodbye to the flamboyant Michael Jennings.
- Coach Tom Coughlin says Umenyiora's knee surgery "went very well."
- Is Antonio Pierce unhappy with his contract? He won't say no?

Kiwanuka back to his " natural position" ! Clark is solid bit old. We’re holding our breath about Wilkinson!!!! We need Linebackers!!!!! ……….Make that DOMINANT Linebackers!
We're only gonna score 17 points?

i'm getting really tired
of the “I’m unhappy with my contract” merry-go-round on this team. do they draw straws each week as to who is going to go complain to Reese?

Winning a super bowl...
…will do that. Pierce/Plaxico = aging players who want one last big payday, and who can blame them? The smart teams (e.g., New England) don’t cap-strap themselves by giving into guys like this.

How true.
And JR seems to be pretty stubborn about not giving in EG, lat year with Stray.). He’ll be reasonable but won’t give the store away.

is for the better
I don’t know if I am the only one, but I wanted strahan to stay retired. Even with a chance to repeat (or not). We need to learn to live without Strahan, we would see who rises now with him and Osi out. Other players will improve and we will know who.

I am with you on that. Strahan going out as a champ was cool, and it is now time to move on. BTW, is this the first time you have commented here? I don’t recognize the user name.

Jennings
Not really a surprise, given depth at WR – but he was a great source of amusement.

I was rooting for Dahl to stick.
He was a hitter, but a tad slow. The kind of overachiever TC has a soft spot for. With another knee injury, it looks like he’s done for good. Both he and Pope came through in the clutch for the Jints last year.
