When you think of the NY Jets, the first thing that comes to mind is all the success they've had with first round draft picks. The second thing that comes to mind is how much Jet fans love the players the Jets select.
Make sure to note the utter joy on Jets fans faces as these players are chosen.

I especially love the “everyone said they would take Marino if he were available, but obviously the Jets know something everyone up here doesn’t”…of course they did, they knew Marino would never win a Super Bowl, that’s why they didn’t pick him! (wink, wink)
By the way, the next running back picked in 1990 after Blair Thomas was Emmit Smith. Could you imagine if the Jets had made the correct choice in ‘83 and ’90 and taken Marino and Emmit? It’s almost scary to think about. (Then again, with their offensive line, Marino probably would have been out of the NFL by ’90, and Emmit probably would have averaged 2 yards per carry).
