Monday morning mish-mash

Here's an interview with Giants coach Tom Coughlin that was on ESPN. It's a pretty friendly, open TC. Enjoy!

-- Kudos to Newsday, where I found this.

  • Where have all the receivers gone? Eli Manning is wondering when he will get to work consistently with the Giants' top group of receivers.
  • Rookie quarterback Andre Woodson should get his first action tonight. In anticipation, here is a Q&A with him.
  • Ex-Giant Luke Petitgout cut by Buccaneers. Anybody still think it was a mistake for the Giants to let him go?

Check back later today for your Game Day Open Thread.

Pettigout

As far as far as Pettigout is concerned………………….As far as far as Pettigout is concerned………………………..As far as far as Pettigout is concerned……………As far as far as Pettigout is concerned
Never mind ,can’t get past the false starts.

We're only gonna score 17 points?

LOL!!

That is one of the classic BBV comments of all time right there. Great stuff!

Funny

The thing that killed me about Luke P is that he had a ton of talent but he really was jumpy; its almost like he over-thought every play and every single snap count. He was a beast and if he were able to keep his head in the game (think back to the away Seattle games) I think the outcome in some of those games (how maddening were the multiple drive-killing false start penalties on 2nd and 10??) or at least some of those plays would have been different.

Speaking of the Bucs

I was at a bar last night and the Bucs-Pats pre-season game was on. It gave me a warm feeling inside thinking that the last time I saw either of those teams in action, they were losing to the Giants in the playoffs…

LOL!!

Was that warm feeling from the game, or from the beer?

I know I'm beating this horse dead

but Eli is saying what I’m fearing … we need some WRs to get healthy quick or we’re going to start the season off slow … again.

WRs

Yep, that situation is beginning to bug me, too. It’s nice for Hixon, London and Moss to get reps, but eli needs to throw to Burress, Toomer and Smith. Those are the guys who need to catch the majority of the passes once the season starts.

I'm here at Giants Stadium

The team has just arrived, and Earnest Gray and Lionel Manuel got off the bus……..
