ESPN wants to know "Who is the greatest in Giants history?"

ESPN has a poll wanting to know who is the greatest Giant of all time.  Obviously this would be a much more interesting question if it were the Greatest Player Not LT.

Difference from our All-Time Team, Banks instead of Van Pelt, who just missed out making our team, and Robustelli over Marshall, whom I voted for but probably wouldn't again after George's protest.

I voted LT, because frankly I think anything else would be ridiculous (except maybe Mel Hein, who just sounded one of kind, he is not on ESPN's list by the way).  If I were going to go for the non-LT GOAT, I'd have to go either with Strahan or Tiki.

LT is winning

with 84% of the vote, which sounds about right. There’s been a lot of great Giants players, but LT is above and beyond pretty much everyone in league history. I dare anyone out there to name more than 5 teams that LT wouldn’t have been the all-time best player on? I’ll even spot you the Colts (Unitas) and Niners (Montana).

Well, if not LT

I probably go with Frank Gifford. I think that after his career as a sportscaster, and marrying Kathie Lee, people tend to forget what a great football player he was. 8 Pro Bowl appearances at 3 different positions, including defensive back. He may be the last player to make the Pro Bowl on defense and offense.

I'm with you.

LT gets it, with Hein the only one close. After that, Tunnell and Giff. I’m glad Van Pelt made our team despite a career with the longest stretch of stinko Jints teams. Poor guy gets no respect. Without a doubt, the greatest ballhawk LB, period, and he could hit.

I'm with you GC

way back when I thought we had the best LB’s around with VP ,Kelly and Harry Carson……………then along comes LT and Banks……………good times!

We're only gonna score 17 points?
