I hate Eagle fans
Ok, I had to put this up here. Since Ed took me on in a writing capacity, I've tried to keep my opinions to myself in my stories, so I am sticking this in a fan post
I was doing some research for an upcoming story on the Eagles, and came across this article:
Where the hell does this guy get off calling Giants fans "gutless and uncommitted"? Show me a team in the league who isn't going to have a popularity spike when they win a Championship.
In case the guy deletes my comment (which would truly be "gutless"), here is the comment I posted on his blog:
Guess we’ll never know if there will be a spike in Eagles web traffic after a Super Bowl win
Gutless and uncommitted? Yeah, gutless and uncommittedly selling out home game for 60 years. Since you seem to know the internet, do a just a little research before you embarrass yourself

I'm surprised
he didn’t have a snappy comment about the spike in Redskins traffic around Sean Taylor’s death. And how does he explain the fact that for most of the season the Giants were running even with the Eagles, once it became obvious the Iggles weren’t too good this year? And to say the Eagles have a smaller fanbase is ridiculous: they have all of Eastern Pennsylvania, all of southern New Jersey, a lot of northern Maryland, and most of Delaware all to themselves. The Giants have to share NY, North Jersey, and Connecticut with the Jets (and CT with the Pats too). True, the Giants have a larger pool, but not THAT much larger.

well
I did know that the NY metro area was larger than the Philly metro area, but my point was more that the Giants have to share their region with the Jets (and Pats to a slight degree in CT), while the Eagles have a vast geographic area to themselves. The NY metro region is 3 times the size of the Philly region, but divide that in half (granted, that may be too generous to the Jets) and it’s only 4 million more people than Philly.

maybe a spike in the web traffic
may have had something to do with the Giants playing in perhaps the greatest Super Bowl and pulling off the biggest upset in NFL history? just a hunch. even on this site, about half of the web traffic right after the game were fans from all over the League congratulating the Giants for knocking off the hated Pats.

Wow!
Demonstrably unworthy of their team’s recent success. What a joke!

I hate'em too!!!!
At least this”gutless and uncommitted “fan who lacks resolve and character has never booed Santa Claus and doesn’t pass the court room complete with jail cells on the way to his stadium seat. ..............hmmm I guess it does take some resolve to pass all the JAILBIRDS on the way to watch a football game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're only gonna score 17 points?
