Wednesday Walk Around The League for 7-30
Good Morning Everyone,
Training Camps are in full swing, the first preseason game is 4 days away (Colts vs. Skins), and here are some of the stories making news across the league.
Peter King on SI.com talks about how the marriage between the Giants and Jeremy Shockey ended up in divorce.
Brett Favre has filed his papers for reinstatement to the NFL, but the Green Bay Press Gazette is reporting that Packers CEO Mark Murphy has flown to Mississippi to ask Favre to stay home.
Ryan Grant, remember him? Well, after his half season of success, he is already holding out for a new contract. How quickly they forget the practice squad days.
Rush Limbaugh says if the St. Louis Rams become available for sale, he would be interested. His first order of business would undoubtedly be trading for Donovan McNabb.
Terry Glenn may be looking for a home in South Beach. Looks like "she" is about to sign with the Dolphins
The NFL has decided to stream Sunday-night football games online, starting with YOUR Super Bowl Champion New York Giants on Thursday September 4th .

Shockey
taking the high road! Good for him ,guess he really needed a change. Have to wonder exactly what the Packers are offering Grant. He did after all gain 29 yards in the playoffs against the eventual SUPERBOWL CHAMPS ( ok just had to emphasize that for the last time….......ok maybe just once more before the first preseason game). Seriously Grant did well for his limited time maybe we could get him back for Droughns and Carr….............they can throw in Brett if they want.
We're only gonna score 17 points?

Giant fans wondering where it went wrong?
I don’t think so. Most of us pretty much knew what was going on

Does the NFL stream their games?
It would seem to be the obvious solution to problem of people who want to watch the game but do not have satellite?

I doubt Grant will be available..
I think I heard he made $360,00 last year, and they offered him some small amount above that for this year, maybe only $20,000 more? I know you can’t throw money at everyone but he he was great last year.

i agree
that offer was a complete slap in the face.
there are 3rd string QBs that make more than $400K.

Question
hey, got a question for you guys. How is DJ Hall doing in camp, I know he did good at rookie camp earlier in the year. Any news on him?

Hall
I haven’t seen his name come up at all. Brandon London is the WR making noise.

Streaming games
seems kinda pointless if they’re only going to do it for the NATIONALLY TELEVISED Sunday night games.

Broadcast or Cable?
In any event, it works well for me. I’ll watch on the laptop while the kids veg out on cartoons

Why not stream the games available now only on satellite?
Wouldn’t that be the obvious solution to the stalemate with cable now?

I've been watching the Mets
on my laptop all season, and let me say there were a few close calls.
