Surfing the Giants on a Monday
Here are some Giants-related stories to get you through a very hot Monday
- Mark Bowden, author of Black Hawk Down, has written a new novel all about The Greatest Game Ever Played.
- Giants GM Jerry Reese endorses a football camp for kids run by his head coach at The University of Tennessee at Martin.
- The Buffalo News has a breakdown and list of questions facing each team in the NFC East.
- Ed's got me running all over the country looking for Giants news. As Lloyd Lindsay Young would say "Helllooooooooooooooo Fargo, North Dakota!!!" The Fargo In-Forum has a story about "former" Giants safety Craig Dahl, who is hoping for another shot with the Giants.
- Finally, Clark Judge of CBS Sportsline can't figure out why the Giants are getting so little respect.

Buffalo News questions. My answers.
How will the Giants handle their Super Bowl success?
The SB was a team win. There was no one star who made it happen. So I don’t expect the ego distractions some teams have suffered. In fact, some of the key players in the SB may be fighting to stay on the team let alone keep their current positions on the depth chart.
Will Manning build on great postseason?
Yes. I think winning the SB has taken a lot of pressure off Eli. Now he can just play and get better.
Will Strahan return for a 16th season?
Given today’s news, obviously not. I look forward to the Point-Counterpoint segments he’ll be (or should be) having with Tiki.
Will disgruntled TE Jeremy Shockey be traded?
No, but expect a resolution by midseason. Either he’ll get on board and be the impact player he could be or he’ll be TO’ed out of New York.
Is there enough depth at linebacker?
Yes. I expect to see some great things from Kiwi and would not be surprised if Blackburn gets to spend more time on the field and less time running off.
Will Carr beat out Woodson for No. 2 QB spot?
No. And I wouldn’t be surprised to see Carr and Wright be the odd men out. I’d prefer to see the Chunky Chucker carry the clipboard instead of Carr.
I posted these stories
Because I thought it would be a slow news day, so much for that idea, LOL
