Giants' Pope arrested
Geesh, did the Giants suddenly turn into the Cincinnati Bengals?
On the heels of the news that Ahmad Bradshaw is spending 30 days in jail, cornerback Geoffrey Pope faces felony charges after allegedly hitting a man over the head with a champagne bottle.
Pope was a practice squad guy last season until injuries forced him into action in the playoffs.
He's intriguing because of his blazing speed, but we may never know if he could be a player.
Right now the Giants have 86 players, and they can only bring 80 to training camp. Pope may have just made one of those decisions a whole lot easier. The way things have been going, the Giants have enough problems right now without keeping around a marginal player who is in trouble with the law.

Wonder how that will sit with Coughlin and Tisch. They have a pretty low tolerance for that sort of stuff.

Bye-Bye
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Stupid decisons have consequences.

All most likely correct , but...
I will withhold judgment until we see if he actually does get charged or not. As of right now (at least according to reports) he has been accused, but not charged.

The Giants cut down to 81 players, so maybe
they are waiting to hear what the scoop is. If he’s charged, he’ll be the 81st player on the team and get cut before camp. If he’s not charged, maybe they’ll keep him and cut someone else.
