Strahan: Is he in or out?
"There are days I wake up and I want to play football, and there are days where I wake up and I don't want to play. Right now there are probably more days where I don't want to play than I do."
-- Michael Strahan
What do you guys think? Is the big fella in for a 16th season in his Hall of Fame career? Or will he ride off into the sunset with his Super Bowl ring?
I think he plays.

Strahan
I think he and the Giants brass already know that he’s going to play and that he will again make his official decision at the end of camp after sitting out July and half of August “pondering”. At his age and with what he brings to the table he is one of the select few who can pull off this maneuver.
We're only gonna score 17 points?

i agree
he’ll only play if he doesn’t have to go to camp again this year.
maybe he and coughlin will have a gentleman’s agreement?

I think he'll stay too
but I’m wondering if that’s just because I want him to stay. BBWC has certainly got the correct logic behind him staying, so I’ll go with that. I just have a funny feeling this time that he might be done. Last year I didn’t feel this way.

I don't have a clue either, Pot
I’ll probably wait for the deadline to vote and go with whatever I feel at the moment. Like Stray, some days I think he’ll retire, others I don’t. He was a huge surprise for me last year. I thought he was over the hill but, as you say, he got better and better and was gangbusters in the last four games.

Has he earned a pass on camp?
With little else to prove in his career and his relationship with coughlin, Strahan will probably get to skip at least most of camp. I think we may see more of this throughout the league as teams allow proven vets who keep fit all year to “avoid risk of injury.” Of course some could argue that camp gets you in the kind of shape that helps prevent injury and and point to the fact that even LT may play more in pre season this year.
But LT wouldn’t be playing any preseason games if he hadn’t had such a terrible start to his season last year which many attributed to his lack of practice. I still think that for many hard nosed guys like Strahan who can show that they can skip camp and most of preseason and still be effective, camp and preseason will be deemphasized.
Give guys like Jerry Rice credit though. He practiced just as hard in his last years as he did when he was at his peak.

Maybe
The problem is w/out camp he was pretty much useless the first couple of games. If he plays, I’d like to see him in camp for the last two weeks. Then, I think he would be ready for the opening game.
