Wednesday Walk Around the League

It's that time of year when there isn't much real football news. So, let's resuscitate our Wednesday Walk Around the League, where we look at what is going on around the rest of the NFL.

Let's start by touring the many fine blogs around SB Nation to see what they are talkng about.

Which team will be this year’s Giants? It’s a good question because we’re likely to see some team seemingly come out of nowhere to make a great playoff run in the NFC again (but not necessarily win it all!). I don’t think it’ll be the Eagles … they seem to be regressing & I think the McNabb show will flare up again. I hate to say it, but I’ll take the Redskins. They went on a roll at the end of last year, had a great draft, & they’re finally making some intelligent decisions in the front office (well, hold out judgement on the coach). They’re starting to scare me.

Pats Pulpit has a great conspiracy theory going over there. I see his point, it does seem kind of fishy that the Pats’ rivals are trying to sweep it under the rug too. Anyway, I’m sick of hearing about it so I’m very happy its over.

Easy questions

Which team will be like the New York Giants and come from nowhere to win the Super Bowl? How about Peter King’s number 6 team, the New York Giants.

Carolina a trendy pick? Is that a post from this year, or one of the last three years?

How good are the Redskins? Good enough for fourth place in the NFC East.

Spygate over? Maybe for the league office, but that’s a moment that will define that franchise for the next 10 years.

Brian Urlacher? He’s be better off skipping the Bears’ upcoming 4 win season as well.

Carolina

“Carolina a trendy pick? Is that a post from this year, or one of the last three years?”

hahahaha. couldn’t have said it better myself.

the panthers are the florida state of the NFL – consistently overrated at the start of each and every season.

Giants come out of nowhere?

It’s pretty hard to come out of nowhere when you just won a superbowl. I know King & some others don’t have the Giants at the top, but teams don’t pay attention to that crap. Make no mistake, the Giants will have a big target on them this year. They’re going to have to play even better to continue their success.

I love this time of year

nobody knows squat – but they gotta come out with the predictions anyway.

Kinda like the guys who predicted Rudy G would be the next President,

LOL!!

There really is nothing going on, so predictions, rankings, lists, etc., are the rule of the day. They don’t mean jack, but they do provide fodder for discussion. That’s why we’re here. :-)

Jibber Jabber

Sure, the Eagles will be this year’s Giants.

The Panthers (who have been picked for something outstanding every year since they lost to the Patriots in their Super Bowl) will play the Eagles in the NFC Championship.

The Redskins have been Super Bowl bound since Snyder took over. Everyone knows that.

It should be easy for the Patriots to “move on”, seeing as they are the perpetrators in the whole story. If that writer over there is foolish enough to believe that “Since there was no videotaping of the Rams’ walk-through prior to Super Bowl XXXVI”..... Who in the hell can prove or disprove that? Can anyone? Oh, that’s right, because someone SAID IT or WROTE IT it must be true. Dude I have some beachfront property for sale in Arizona if you’re interested.

There’s a reason why Urlacher plays in The “Windy City”......Think about it. Probably hot wind.

Oh this is fun.

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.
