Where does Robert Henderson fit in?
The short answer to that question is, I have no idea.
Henderson, a defensive end from Southern Mississippi, was the Giants' final draft pick -- taken in the sixth round (199th overall).
By most accounts, the 6-foot-3, 280-pound Henderson is a marginal NFL prospect.
We also know, of course, that the Giants are loaded at defensive end. With Michael Strahan (we count him until/unless he says he will retire -- and I don't think he will), Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Dave Tollefson and the ability to use Mathias Kiwanuka at end if they need to, I have no idea what Henderson can do for this team.
I guess we will just have to wait until training camp and find out.

Insurance?
Yes, if Strahan com es back, and if everyone stays healthy, they are already relatively deep at DE , but as we all know, one or two injuries turns a deep position to a thin position
Still, somewhat surprised that they didn’t go for an area where they are actually thinner? I know I would like to see more depth on the O line and perhaps DT

O Line
If you look at the list of undrafted guys they brought in, it is very heavy on offensive linemen. O Line is a position where you can always find big, useful pile pushers in late rounds or as UDFAs. I agre, though, that I was a bit surprised they didn’t draft an offensive lineman.

This seemed
like a mega-reach pick, but until one of Reese’s picks doesn’t pan out, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. And honestly, even if Henderson doesn’t ever make the team, when your GM goes through 2 drafts and the worst you can say is his very last pick didn’t make the team, well, that ain’t too shabby.
