Notes from rookie mini-camp
The Giants held their first day of rookie mini-camp Friday.
Here are links to some of the reports files by various beat writers.
- Mike Garafolo of the Star Ledger files separate reports on the morning and afternoon sessions.
- Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News filed this report. Vacchiano also lists all the unsigned "tryout" players who were on the field.
- Ernie Palladino has a report on one invitee who didn't know until Thursday night that he would be on a football field Friday morning.

A FEW NOTES: Rookie QB Andre Woodson, a sixth-round pick, had an uneven day -- which is understandable considering the circumstances. Garafolo seemed impressed by second-round pick Terrell Thomas and fifth-round pick Jonathan Goff.

Are the Giants
Looking to become the first team to try a 9 WR set? LOL, it seems like they have 238 wide receivers on the roster right now.
How about Jeremy Young, the man who up the hill in the morning a QB, and came down in the afternoon as a WR (what else?) That has to be some kind of record for shortest NFL QB career.
I hear that if Strahan comes back, the Giants want to move him to WR :)
Garafolo doing a great job as always. You can really tell he loves what he does

Garafolo
He’s either doing a great job … or, he has a really, really boring life and has nothing else to do.

Garafolo
I love the guys like Garafolo and Ernie Palladino from the Journal News. I reference Vacchiano from the Daily News sometimes, but the guys from the NYC papers all have agendas. To me, you get better, unbiased info from the guys who don’t work for the big media outlets.
