3-4 or 4-3 alignment for our All-Time Team?

A point has been raised about our All-Time Team, and I will leave it to you to decide.

The fact that Keith Hamilton has been named to the team and we will have to leave either Sam Huff or Harry Carson has some folks asking if we should change the alignment to a 3-4 defense, drop Hamilton and have Huff and Carson as our middle linebackers.

You guys tell me. Vote in the poll below. As always click 'Entry Link' if you don't see the poll.

Poll
Should our All-Time Team have a 3-4 or a 4-3 defensive alignment? Obviously, 4-3 means either Sam Huff or Harry Carson does not make the team.

Thanks for giving the 3-4 a chance
I think a 3-4 defense with Huff & Carson at middle linebacker and a blitzing LT and Brad Van Pelt outside and Strahan, Grier & Marshall upfront is a pretty tough defense.
The most dominating Giant defenses were the two Parcell /Bela cheat Super Bowl winning 3-4 units

In the words of Hubert,
I'll be pleased as punch if I don't have to choose between them.  The choice of the last LB will be tough, but not nearly as tough as choosing between two HOFers.  Brad was a damn good player, CNJ

Here's a thought...
Maybe we should pick 4 lineman and 4 linebackers to the all Giants team.  That way no great player will be left out merely because he palyed in the wrong system.

Hmmm
My problem with that is that we wind up with 12 players on defense instead of 11. I don't want that to happen.

OK, but...
The fact is that for the front seven there have been two basic styles of defense employed by our team over the years, and we should find a way to accomodate that into our greatest team.  That way, for example, a guy like Jim Burt who was a great nose guard can get the credit he deserves.

Maybe we could somehow break the all time defensive front seven into two categories?

No way Sam Huff can be left off
We're lucky the old-timers who actually remember Sam Huff don't know how to use computers, because if they read this there'd be octegenarians rioting in the streets.  Don't spurn players you didn't see personally.  Usually they're still great ballplayers.

Amen, brother, from this septagenarian
Since the voting started, there's been more misinformation dished on this site than I've ever seen before, some ot it quite imaginative, none of it factual.  I just don't have the patience to get in a pissing contest every time one of these ridiculous assertions are put forward
