Is George Steinbrenner a Hall of Famer?

I know, I know, this is football territory. However, I am asking this question over on my baseball site and I thought some of you folks might like to stop over and weigh in.

You got mentioned on ESPN

By Rob Neyer, my personal favorite baseball writer. He disagrees with part of your article, but agrees with the premise that Stein belongs in the Hall.

I'd say I agree, but I also think there are other owners who belong in but who are not, starting with Charlie Finley. A lot of people don't like him (like Steinbrenner), but you can't argue that he didn't change the game (colorful unis, holding cities hostage and moving teams, coming up with the idea of the Designated Hitter) or that he wasn't successful (3 straight WS and 5 straight AL Championships.) If Steinbrenner gets in, I think Finley has to get in too.

You have no idea how big of a thrill that is for me. To get a link from a major publication is one thing. To have Neyer lift most of my Steinbrenner post then discuss it is one of the most incredible things that has happened to me as a writer. I guess I should quit now! LOL
