Excellent article on "The Root"
re loss of Plax and why the Giants are the best team in the NFL. I recommend it to all, but, since I'm pretty much computer illiterate, can't post it for you. Maybe someone else will read it like it and post it. Okay, I need another 30 words to post.
Basically the article states that depth trumps star power. a roster of B+ players is better than a team with some stars and a ragtag bunch of scrubs. The writer states that the strategy used by the Giants in the same as that pursued by, the Titans, the Steelers, N.E.

Different take
Here is a completely different, hilarious take on the whole mess — as only The Onion can do it.

hilarious
“And we should all be proud of the citizens of Detroit, who managed to capture the Detroit Lions during a bank robbery in which the team forgot to load its guns and put gas in its getaway cars.”
Witherspoon also noted that the vault of the Detroit bank in question was empty, having been cleaned out by the Chicago Bears earlier in the day."

I agree with the last comment that a group full of B+ players with depth is the best way to construct a roster and my proof is the Giants and Cowboys. The Cowboys have all the star power in the world but they also have starters that nobody is game planing for. The Giants are a team you cant game plan for either because nobody knows who is gonna be the star of the game.
