GET READY FOR THE BIRDS

After watching the Vikings play in a potential 'win or go home' scenario, coupled with the Eagles dismantling the COW-HOAXES, I don't see any chance of the Vikings beating the Eagles this weekend.

Eagles' run defense is solid enough to at least contain AP, so they will dare Tarvaris to beat them which will not happen. On the flip side, even if Philly decides to throw the ball on every down I was definitely not impressed with the Vikes' secondary. David Carr was carvin em up !

Not that I am afraid of Philly but playing the winner of Arizona/Atlanta sounds a lot more enticing right now.

Carr

Carr is actually starting to develop into a solid starter and the backups WRs in NY are prettey damn good too
Manningham is way under used and Moss has alot of speed and potential these guys should seriously be used as returners over R.W.
Carr has the arm and he is starting to learn from the giants coaches and even Eli but he still need to learn how to work under pressure better
when he played with the starting line he looked very good
who knows maybe in another year or so he could move on and be a starter for someone else

Funny what a difference a week makes

a week ago we would have been salivating at the thought of playing a listless Eagles team that didn’t show up for a “must-win” game against the pathetic Redskins. Eagles don’t scare me, nor do the Vikings, the Cardinals, or the Falcons. Bring on the Panthers

Goddamnit

After TB and Chicago lost, I thought to myself, as much as I want the Cowboys to miss the playoffs, who would I rather play in the playoffs b/w the Cowboys and the Eagles? The Cowboys. Ideally we could play Tampa Bay again and lay the smackdown on Ronde Barber and further rub it in to Tiki, but what happened happened. The reason I say the Cowboys is that Brian Westbrook is dangerous, McNabb has a stronger more accurate arm than Romo, and their secondary has been playing alot more solidly than the Cowboys as of late (not drawing PI penalties, late hits, key interceptions..). We are capable of completely dismantling the Cowboys, you can’t say the same for the Eagles who will keep it close when we play them. I’m not even considering that we might play Minnesota, considering our backups almost beat them, their special teams are a joke, and, uh Tarvaris Jackson is their QB.

Carr is gone

With so many teams desperate for a QB, he’s history. I say Jets. After the experience in Houston he has no desire to go to Detroit…
Agree with Mahmood on the Vikes not being a legit threat…
S-M power rankings of our possible opponents Jan. 11:
1. Atlanta
2. Philadelphia
3. Arizona

Best case and least likely scenario: Minny and Ariz. both win … we would steamroll the Cards. Worst case and most likely scenario: Minny & Ari both lose, we play the Eggs in a tough game then the winner of ATL-CAR…

You play to win the game!

Eagles Fan Here

I’m just trying not to look ahead past Minnesota, but if we do make it past them (which will be difficult), then I think we’re in for a classic in the Meadowlands. It’ll be a real dogfight, and great football.

Agreed

You’re better than the Vikes, therefore I hope the Vikings win

You play to win the game!

Eagles terrify me

Westbrook has murdered us his entire career. Arizona doesn’t necessarily scare me, but we seem to have problems containing teams with that many skill players, but the Cards are frauds on the road. Atlanta worries me, because they seem like over-acheivers, unlike the Cards who I think are underachievers. We all know the Vikes are frauds

yea arizona shouldnt scare you...

they may arguably be the worst team to host a playoff game in 10 years

the Chargers

take offense to that comment…

Umm

Cowboys scare me more than Eagles. Gotta disagree guys. They put Eli on the mat like 15 times. And they won the last game we played and are still like 4-1 w/ Romo starting. That 1 loss being last year. The Eagles as good as they are still kinda suck. They just sucked less than the likes of Bucs, Choke Boys, and Bears. They are capable of scoring a ton but we do own them, although in close contests. But when all is said and done I still would rather see anyone else among the contestants.

honestly

it depends which Andy Reid shows up. The Andy Reid that relies on the run game and lets Westbrook do his thing scares me. The Andy Reid that let’s Donovan “Magic” McNabb throw 41 bounce passes a game doesn’t scare me at all. The crazy thing is you never know which one you’ll get. Also, I know it’s not good to to root for injuries, but I wouldn’t be upset at all if something happened that forced Winston Justice into the lineup. The only bad thing would be the sobs of regret you’d be hearing from Osi that he can’t be lining up against him again.

Dome

I think Reid is going to try to air the ball out on Sunday against the Vikings. The game is going to be inside and the Vikings rushing D is Top Tier. I am not saying its the right call for the Birds, but the man’s history has proved he lives and dies with the passing game.

i was at that game

which was a horrendous game regardless of the outcome anyway. I came out and was talking to the Eagles fans and we all agreed the real losers were the fans. I got home and Berman called it “three hours in the dentist chair”

we all know there was a block in the back during that return

Maybe you guys can have Justice

You already have Spagnoula, McDougle, and Barksdale.

Haha, Other than Spags, you want more of our garbage…
