Who knows?
Even the best teams lose sometimes.

Two catches for "Hands" Hedgecock already?
Bizarro world!

For a team
with nothing to gain from this contest, it feels good to see this team play hard still.
by ProudYankee on Dec 28, 2008 1:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
If we're
gunna look that uninspired on Off. Take the 1st team outta the game.

Another big run!
I am concerned about this run D.

How many long runs up the middle
are we gonna have to give up before some people admit that we need to find a more athletic MLB next year?
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 1:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
AP
had 8 yrds on 7 carries plus a fumble before that play. We still stuff the run.
by ProudYankee on Dec 28, 2008 1:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Is the turf at the Metrodome slippery?
I’ve seen at least three guys slip and fall down already.
by JoshNY on Dec 28, 2008 1:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That TD is on AP
Here we go again, but he went all the way to the outside and left his gap in the middle unprotected. Watch the replay and that’s all him.

AP
Caught up in the wash. He has become a liability. Is Chase the ML of the future?

Does Ahmad

Yes
Like he is struggling.

Alright Ahmad
that’s his best return of the season. In fact, I think that’s the teams best non-Hixon return all year

Bradshaw
Where has that been?
by nyfaninsouthaustin on Dec 28, 2008 1:52 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Ward
Should be closing in on 1000.
by nyfaninsouthaustin on Dec 28, 2008 1:53 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Why take the 5 yard penalty?
over the 10 yarder? That makes no sense…
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 1:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Damn
that cost Ward his 1,000 yards, as well as the TD.

by nyfaninsouthaustin on Dec 28, 2008 1:56 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Ward looks
hungry for 1000 yrds. How may does he need?
by ProudYankee on Dec 28, 2008 1:58 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
he's exactly half-way there
he came into the game needing 62 yards, and he’s got 31 so far
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 2:00 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
never mind
I can’t do math. He needed 52 yards, so he’s only 21 yards away…

Anyone watching any of this Pats-Bills game?
the wind is RIDICULOUS. The goal posts keep getting blown over, and field goals are getting pushed around like crazy (NE just missed like a 30 yarder)

Eli comes back out for the 3rd, or is it Carr-time? And if it is Carr, will we still see Ward, I think he needs 5 more yards for 1,000?

Good first half
Except for that one bad play against the run.
by Ed Valentine on Dec 28, 2008 2:38 PM EST reply actions 0 recs

Yep
But that was Koets, who never plays, and won’t in the playoffs, so I am not worried about it. That ‘hold’ on Hixon was a phantom penalty.

that sucks
but as far as losses go, that’s about as good as they get. I mean, we barely lost despite playing our backups the whole second half and no Jacobs the whole game. Still, I wanted to win that…
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 4:05 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Loss
But who cares? Played pretty well except for two big plays on defense (and one was when a guy fell down). Got a lot of good things done, and now it’s on to the playoffs.

I know it's not important
but if the Giants do win the Super Bowl, it would have looked much better in future years to look back at a 13-3 team than a 12-4 team. That one win separates decent SB Champs from the ones that get talked about for years.

did you see the last play
Garcia held the ball for about 2 hours and got sacked. Pathetic. You’ve gotta get rid of the ball in that situation. Well, I’m rooting for the Eagles now. They scare me less than the Cowboys.

This is for the 6 seed, right?
The Falcons are locked into the seed, is that correct? In which case the winner of this plays the Vikings?
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 4:25 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Correct.
Hopefully they kill each other.
Because I’d expect the winner will be in great shape to beat the Vikings.
That also leaves Atlanta to play Arizona – should be a win for them too. So Atlanta would move on to Carolina and the winner of this game will play us. Get ready.

I think the most disappointing thing about losing before was that Carney actually missed a field goal. I thought he was perfect…

This Eagles-Cowboys game is awesome
Watching the Cowboys implode is thoroughly entertaining, even if it is against my 2nd most-hated team. The gap in my hatred between the Cowboys and the Eagles is bigger than the gap between the Eagles and everyone else
by cjmulrain on Dec 28, 2008 5:45 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
LOL @ Romo
and the Cowboys in general.
Wade Phillips is the most clueless man on the planet. Pacman hands out free points before the half. The QB has the authority to override the coach’s decisions. Whitten and Romo draw up plays for TO now. That whole organization is in disarray.
Come on back, Terry!

yea
I’ve been reading their boards for the last hour. It’s hilarious.
The best thing about today: The Eagles won’t fire Andy Reid or get rid of McNabb, and the Cowboys might blow things up. I think we just clinched the 2009 NFC East title!
Also, with the exception of whatever is about to happen in the next 17 seconds, with the Jets at their own 1, Favre’s last meaningful pass was an interception. That’s twice now his career has ended with a pick. If anyone ever tries to argue that he’s better than Montana, Marino, Elway, or even Manning or Brady, I will laugh in their face.
