Madden 09 Xbox 360
Hi guys
Ok, I am starting an open Fan Post about Madden 09, which Santa was nice enough to bring me this year.
I know we have some Madden players on the board, so I have an opening question:
How do I update the rosters online? I want to start a new franchise, but the roster still has Shockey and Strahan on it. Can somebody tell me how to get the current rosters? I was on Xbox Live trying to figure it out, but couldn't.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

It's annoying
but you have to start an online game with someone, and they automatically update the rosters. You then have the option of playing the game, or being an ass like me and immediately quitting.
By the way, in my Madden franchise, the Giants started off the season 11-1 before losing their last 4 games and losing home field (to the Bucs, eww), but then went on and beat the Patriots in a Super Bowl re-match. That was part of the reason I wasn’t too worried during our little losing streak!
LOL...thanks
I found the solution online shortly after I posted this. You know what sucks? The first franchise I started, I had the original rosters. So I tried to trade Shockey to the Saints, and it went thru, for their 2nd and 5th rounder. But I didn’t save it, I wanted to get updated rosters.
So I update the rosters, and Shockey is gone, but you don’t get the picks! That sucks, LOL.

Played my first franchise game last night
Pre-season game, lost to the Panthers 10-9. Haven’t quite figured out the long pass plays yet, had to be very methodical on offense. I’ll get the offense figured out by the regular season.
My biggest pet peeve with the game so far is Cris Collinsworth, he’s an idiot on the game too.

Collinsworth
After 3 years of my franchise I had grown tired of cursing Collinsworth and had to turn the commentary off. It is actually quite nice to just hear the crowd and the stadium announcer.
