Giants vs. Panthers: What they're saying
Here is a look around the great Inter-Google at some of what is being written and said about Sunday night's dramatic victory by the New York Giants over the Carolina Panthers.
- Five things to learn from Sunday's game. Adam Duerson
- Win restores some Giants' swagger. Matt Mosley
- Giants show Panthers they are still the team to beat. Gary Myers
- Interesting question. Who is more important to the Giants' offense, Eli Manning or Brandon Jacobs? Giants Journal
- Did a Jeff Feagles' punt save the Giants' season? Tom Rock
- Giants at their best against the best. Jay Greenberg
I'm sure a lot more will be written and said. But, this is some of what is out there right now.

Lame....
From Adam Duerson:
“Instead of their regular 14-game starters, the Panthers played the majority of the second half with two reserves, including pass rusher extraordinaire Darwin Walker, who wouldn’t know what to do with a running back if one bit him in the butt. And it showed. After the game, both Coughlin and Eli Manning credited the win to the Giants’ offensive line.”
Cry me a river, the Giants played all year without a Pro Bowl DE, and another with the flu who looked like Death last night. It’s part of the game.

Duerson is clueless.
Consider this quote:
“The Giants can run the ball whenever they damn please. They just haven’t cared enough to try lately. What better way to explain Coughlin’s recently frugal use of Brandon Jacobs and the team’s miserable play without him?”
No, Adam, I have a better explanation. It’s called bad knees. Hard to believe SI would hire this ill-informed clown,

Let's face it. Our boys are the best team in football right now.
The media makes a living at stirring up controversy. I don’t listen to their opinions and editorials, I listen for info. As for our team it would appear to me that adversity is what makes that engine run and the playoffs are chock full of adversity. I agree with what you’ve espoused time and again Ed. Thanks to their thrilling smash-mouth football it truly is a great time to be a giants fan!

yep
Am I the only one who is completely sick of this BS that passes for a pregame show? There’s absolutely no real analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the teams and how well they match up. Instead they’re just giving you corny played out empty story lines. Hello, we don’t give a crap about your silly story line, just the game. What’s the point of having former players and coaches in the box if they’re not going to make any intelligent comments…

You don't want to do that
I did it for 20 years. It’s dead. What you want is to launch the next ‘Deadspin’ and be relevant. You don’t really want to be Buzz Bissinger now, do you?

I left about 10 years ago
Strangely, I’d still love to make my living from the media. If I could make enough money from this site and my other blogging/freelancing that would be the dream for me.
