Giants notes, 10.04.08
Ralph Vacchiano has details on the status of Super Bowl hero David Tyree in his 'Blue Screen' blog. The Giants have to make a decision on Tyree by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Just a guess, but Tyree could be headed to Injured Reserve.
- Newsday has an interesting note on plackekicker John Carney that paints him as a trend-setter in his profession. Carney apparently uses a different shoe for field goals and PATs than the one he kicks off with. All I know if maybe Carney needs to put some led in that kickoff shoe. His kicks were horrible Sunday. In fact, they were so bad the New York Times is wondering if the Giants will use two kickers Sunday night against Philadelphia.
- The Giants are 7-1, but they do see things they want to fix.
Updated season stats are after the jump.

Wow!
Derrick Ward is averaging over 6 yards per carry!
Also haven’t heard much about Clark’s good play against the Cowboys. I didn’t know he was 245lbs. He seems to move very well for that size.
Too bad we couldn’t teach Tyree to kick off so we could keep him on the roster. LOL
