MNF Open Thread

Tonight we have the Washington Redskins hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Monday Night Football action.

I would think Giants fans have to be rooting for Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers tonight.

Anyway, if you're looking for something to do during the game use this as an open thread.

Enjoy!

Steelers are winning big

That’s exactly what I hoped for.

that's a big division loss for the skins

and if the stat about skins homegames before elections holds true a promising sign for your next four years. You guys lucked out on having such a cool nominee. Here in Canada all of our politicians except Trudeau are/have been really, REALLY boring. OOOBBBBAAAAAAMMMMAAAAA!

whoops. Not technically a division loss, but one that helps the giants within it.

looks like I may need to check my posts for grammar before posting. LOL

All is forgiven

NYcON… Giants continue to prove they are the best team in the NFL. And when teams we manhandled manhandle our division opp. it only makes us look better (ie Rams v Boys Steelers v Skins). GEEEEEEE- MEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giants 7-1

Skins 6-3
Iggles 5-3
Boys 5-4

That is creating separation. Let’s just say for arguments sake we win next week and the Girls beat the Skins the following.

Giants 8-2 (lose to BMore) 3-0 div
Skins 6-4 (lose to Boys) 2-2
Iggles6-4 (beat the Bengs)0-3
Boys 6-4 (beat skins) 2-2

We are looking GOOOOOODDD!!!!

If anyone hates me looking ahead and dissecting the what if scenarios, sorry can’t help it.

Worse case scenario we blow the next two. And Iggles don’t.

Giants 7-3
Iggles 7-3
Skins 7-3 or 6-4
Boys 5-5 or 6-4

Too many scenarios running through my head. AHHHHH!!! That last one made me sick. Night homies.

worst case scenario?

Philly (twice), Baltimore, at Arizona, at Washington, at Dallas, Carolina, at Minnesota…

excuse me if i’m wrong, but wouldn’t 0-8 be the “worst-case” scenario? all of those teams are .500 or better. i agree that winning next week would put the Giants in great shape, but i’m not ready to pop the champagne yet.

the good thing about tonight’s game is that i think it shows the Redskins are a team that have to play a perfect game to win against better opponents. they put together a 6-2 start largely because they could run the ball with Portis, had strong D play, and Jason Campbell didn’t turn the ball over. they don’t beat themselves, which allows them to beat a majority of teams. but i’m not convinced this is the kind of team that can go out and outplay a strong opponent when both teams bring their “A” games.

Its

worst case scenario after the next 2 weeks.

Another reason we

shouldn’t be putting on any victory grins just yet. The Cowboys aren’t nearly as bad as their last few outings suggest. And thought the score last night was lopsided the skins are still a good bet for the playoffs.

The good news is that if we continue to win it won’t matter. so it’s on to Philadelphia where we will get all we want from McNabb and Westbrook. Actually though, the better teams have historically brought out our best performances, so I am cautiously optimistic.

yeah

This game does not make comfortable, the records never seem to matter when we play, and it seems we have played very few games against the Eagles in the last few years where they’ve been at full strength, the only exception being the overtime game. Either Westbrook or McNabb has been out, and then there was the Winston Justice game.
