PLAX DESERVES A PASS
Regarding the article on the front page ('Do we reallly need Burress"), I think the answer is YES.
If you are a Giants fan who strongly disagrees I urge you to watch film of the NFC championship game in Green Bay on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. I was at the game enduring the 15 below temperature wondering how anyone in their right mind could go out there and catch a frozen football in short sleeves while being fully aware they were going to take a bone chilling hit at the end. Plax stepped his toughness and competitive edge in those conditions to the tune of 11 catches 154 yards.
Maybe I am alone on this...But I think that performance, which was the epitomy of what willed us into the Super Bowl, gives him a pass for minor disciplinary infractions the season after a Super Bowl win. Don't believe the hype, the media always finds a way to drag down the team that can do no wrong right now.

No, he doesn't deserve 'a pass'
He deserves credit for what he accomplished, and the thanks of fans and the Giants organization. We have given him that, and the Giants organization gave him that with a very generous 5-year contract. Now, his teammates who are trying to do something special and the organization that recognized his contribution deserve his best effort.
They have not gotten it this season. Far from it. Hopefully, Plax will step up come playoff time and do what we all know the ‘good Plax’ is capable of.
I am not counting on it, though.

I agree with JINTS14
Not that the front article does have some relevance on Plax’s situation this season. Yes he has stumbled a bit this season and yes he has stirred up some controversy, but he shouldn’t be alienated from the team. I hope to hell that he gets totally healthy and turns this stumble around, in which I belive he will. If you believe in Jerry’s decision on his extended signing, then you will have to believe in Plax. Jerry is no push over and we have to believe in his discretion.

He will!
I believe in him! He is rough around the edges, but his talent and head is on straight. I mean, he missed a meeting due to family issues… This has nothing to do with drugs or strip bars like pacman. The man is a good guy, just needs to be understood.
