I'm so pissed

I’m not getting the game down here b/c of the Redskins-Seahawks game, which promises to be awful. And none of the people I normally go to the bar with to watch Giants games can go today. So I’m either unable to watch the game or I have to go to the bar by myself (and deal with the Redskins fans that will be there). Ugh…

by cjmulrain on Nov 23, 2008 12:09 PM EST reply actions

dude go to Baileys in Ballston

They have 4 rooms, so there’s almost always a room that’s just Giants fans. I had this whole elaborate plan to dvr the game, stay away from the results, and watch it when I got back from work. Stupid redskins. Don’t forget, everyone without the game, giants.com has the radio feed for free usually.

i have a solution for u buddy, as long as ur willing to delve into the possibly illegal

try www.justin.tv , what it is is a site where people can live stream from their webcams, so some people connect their webcams to their TVs with an s-video cable, result being a live streaming web-feed of the giants game. i watch NFL network thursday night games on that site, teh quality’s usually good and i just have a basic Optimum wi-fi connection.

and i feel your pain. i go to school at fordham and my bar is full of eagle, cowboys, and even worse…. ugh.. jet fans. J-E-T—— bam, decked in the face. i wish.

Is anyone else

not that impressed with the Titans? The Jets are dominating them.

And how awful do the Eagles look? If McNabb keeps playing like this, he could get benched. Or at least should…I don’t think Reid is even paying attention anymore

I've only seen a little bit of that game,

but Eagles definitely look bad.

I’m mostly watching Pats-Dolphins, which is a good one. BTW, when did Will Allen become an All-Pro? Damn, he looks good this year.

That was AWESOME....

Please don’t get arrested.. I would have to take up a collection here to bail you out, and that would just be awkward.

You may just have to wear Sheriff Joe’s “pink boxers” for a few… then I would have to call you Paul, and that would be funny, then awkward because you would develop “I left my wallet at home” syndrome.

So…

Just stay out of trouble, don’t make me more awkward than I am… :-)

Eagles benched McNabb

and put in Kevin Kolb. I wonder if this is temporary or the end of the McNabb era? Probably depends on how well Kolb does, I guess. At least it’s good for my fantasy team, my opponent had McNabb, and he finishes with negative points!

by cjmulrain on Nov 23, 2008 3:09 PM EST reply actions

also

the Lions jumped out to a 17-0 lead, and are now losing 35-17. They also have the 2nd toughest remaining schedule in the NFL, behind only our G-Men. Folks, we really might be seeing an 0-16 season. I’m more excited about that than I was about seeing the first 16-0 season (even if you adjust for the fact that it came against the Giants).

by cjmulrain on Nov 23, 2008 3:16 PM EST reply actions

Jets are cruising

I think that’ll put the Gmen on top of everyone’s power rankings if they win today.

On a negative note, we’re not going to stop hearing about Saint Favre for awhile.

by potroast on Nov 23, 2008 3:25 PM EST reply actions

I can already

hear the Subway Super Bowl talk…

I’ve gotta admit, Favre is looking good, but their defense is their strength, IMO. That, to me, is why they are a legit contender.

You think?

I’m into the Star Wars nature of it (the music and the characters and everything) but I thought the gameplay itself wasn’t all that great. Certainly one of the easiest games ever. I’m just trying to grab all the hidden extras at this point so I can say I did. I’m one of those “completionists” who can’t put a game down until I’ve opened every door in it. What version are yhou on? I’ve got the Wii.

by Mr. Met on Nov 23, 2008 4:01 PM EST up reply actions

well

I’m a Star Wars nerd, and compared to most prior SW games I thought it was really good. You’re right about it being easy, but I guess that’s part of what I liked about it: if I’m gonna be a Jedi, I SHOULD be able to kick ass, right? Plus, I ony rented it, and when I returned it I felt like there was still stuff for me to discover, but maybe if I had kept playing it for a few more days I would have gotten sick of it. I have xBox 360, btw.

by cjmulrain on Nov 23, 2008 4:10 PM EST up reply actions

You're not missing all that much.

The biggest thing is that with enough of those holocron things you can get additional characters to choose from to play the game as, Han Solo or Luke or whatever. I’m not really sure why I’m bothering to collect them all. I just haven’t moved on to the next game yet.

by Major on Nov 23, 2008 4:13 PM EST up reply actions

Jacobs Out

I am really interested to see the offense without jacobs. I am glad they rested him if he is hurt, but I am interested to see how good this running game is without Jacobs and the pressure is going to be put on Eli. I predict lots of Kevin Boss today.

by losangelesmets on Nov 23, 2008 4:12 PM EST reply actions

I'm also glad

they’re sitting Jacobs to get him healthy, but I feel like he could have had a really big day against the Cardinals D, who seem to me to be the fast but not too physical type that he usually dominates (note: I could be wrong about that, I haven’t seen a single Cardinals game this season, and thanks to the Redskins, I still won’t after today. grr)

by cjmulrain on Nov 23, 2008 4:15 PM EST up reply actions

yeah, I had him starting in 3 Fantasy leagues

BTW

fantasy football sucks. I get a big day from my QB for the first time since Romo hurt his wittle pinkie, but it’s negated b/c my opponent had TO, who got the bulk of Romo’s throws. Despite that, I was down by 4 with the first slate of games winding down, and I still have 2 players left while my opponent is done, but he has 2 WRs catch garbage time TDs in the last 3 minutes. Now I’m down 20, and need a big day from Portis which I’m not expecting.

they have a ton of weapons and with this defense, they are rarely out of games. With the Cards forced to throw all day, there might be some turnovers to be had. The Giants have already missed two INTs. We shall see.

pass interference?

you’re kidding me.

the hit on KP should’ve been flagged. no way that was PI on Ross.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 6:29 PM EST reply actions

wow

refs really letting Arizona right back in this. that’s a horrible call. his hands didn’t even hit his facemask. it’s called a jam, corners do it on every play.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 6:33 PM EST reply actions

exactly

surprised they didn’t call a penalty on that play too

by potroast on Nov 23, 2008 6:34 PM EST up reply actions

no player of the week for Ross this time around

not sure how that's not a penalty

if that’s not an illegal pick, then I suggest lining up Kevin Boss in the slot and having him throw his defender into the cornerback that is covering Plax. Burress will be wide open every time.

Cardinals drive

4 plays, 12 yards.
8 penalties, 58 yards.
Tim Hightower: 2-yd TD Run. Extra Point is GOOD.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 6:44 PM EST reply actions

actually i made that up

because i’m pissed off. i think there was actually only 4 penalties, but i believe all 4 came in succession. 3 of the 4 looked legit (the illegal hands to the face being the exception) but i can’t believe that waved off that pick. i looked at the replay again and what the Cardinals’ receiver did was undoubtedly illegal. that’s why Larry Fitzgerald was by himself on the sideline.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 6:48 PM EST up reply actions

so really 3 of 5

because the call off was really a penalty

by potroast on Nov 23, 2008 6:50 PM EST up reply actions

that was insane...

i hope they drive it down their throats!!

by gdfther412 on Nov 23, 2008 6:47 PM EST reply actions

man Eli

is grossly outplaying the supposed “MVP” right now.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 6:54 PM EST reply actions

Not

penalty aided either.damn refs,.

by gdfther412 on Nov 23, 2008 6:56 PM EST reply actions

Great hands by Boss

That ball was tipped and he didn’t even blink.

by potroast on Nov 23, 2008 6:57 PM EST reply actions

This team is determined

to be elite regardless of where they play, who they are playing and who plays for them….and there is the Warner interception i said was coming!!!!!!

by Major on Nov 23, 2008 7:00 PM EST reply actions

looked like they could've been helmet-to-helmet

not saying it was, but Phillips got flagged for the same thing a couple weeks ago in Pittsburgh.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 7:03 PM EST reply actions

Ok

The Arizona defense held the running game to 69yds but they gave up 31 points!!! How do you give them a pat on the back for that? Plus no Jacobs.

wow

Wisenhunt must have zero faith in his D.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 7:20 PM EST reply actions

hey holding the Giants under 100 rush yards

is pretty good considering what they’ve been doing the last few games.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 7:24 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah without jacobs

and yet they gave up over 200 special teams yds!!! Focus on one aspect and the G-men get you another

by Major on Nov 23, 2008 7:28 PM EST up reply actions

everything crashed on me

What happened, why did arizona not go for two? am i doing the math wrong?

by queler on Nov 23, 2008 7:28 PM EST reply actions

the instead opted for an onside kick

which they should’ve had but one of their guys had it hit off their facemask and into the hands of DeOssie. the Giants picked up a first down and now are lining up for a 33-yard field goal. which is good.

no timesouts left for Arizona, 1:55 to go.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 23, 2008 7:29 PM EST up reply actions

The only thing this team is missing....

Is a guy to do kickoffs

Well, good win

I was worried about this one. They have a great offense & showed it today.

Bring on the Redskins!
