OK, it's Cowboys vs. Giants today. So, let's hope the Giants bring their 'A' game and kick some Cowboy butt. Bring your 'A' game to the Open Thread, too.

Oh, and sorry about using the blasted star, but the team logo is the logo. That's what I'm stuck with.

the GMen don't need their "A" game

just take it easy on us today okay.

In Romo we Trust

by Terry on Nov 2, 2008 12:49 PM EST reply actions

In the NFL

you always need your ‘A’ game.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 12:53 PM EST up reply actions

Chin up

It’s more fun when you’re the cocky Terry(mostly). Hopefully you wont be at 7:30 or so. You’ll be back to your old self in no time……………and I should be careful what I wish for.
Jim, got you’re wings going? We’re doing a ex -mex smorgasbord complete with a very expesive tequila and coronas of course.

We're only gonna score 17 points?

by big blue wrecking crew on Nov 2, 2008 2:37 PM EST up reply actions

no its against the cowboys even if they are wipping them they should still play their A+ game to mock them and embarras them to boost stats and to show the cowboys who they are messing with

by shenkthetank92 on Nov 2, 2008 3:16 PM EST up reply actions

hockey game

it sucks im the captain of my hockey team and the game starts at 630 our first game of the season so im missing the 2nd half

by shenkthetank92 on Nov 2, 2008 3:38 PM EST reply actions

OK, I'm ready to go

First time in weeks I will be able to watch uninterrupted from the opening kickoff. No more soccer games. Yippee!!

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 3:53 PM EST reply actions

Argh!!

Effing Packers & Titans are going OT. Damn you, Rob Bironas. Get this over with quick so I don’t miss the freakin’ kickoff.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 4:05 PM EST reply actions

u wont

once the gmen start it will switch to it

by shenkthetank92 on Nov 2, 2008 4:06 PM EST up reply actions

not for me

I’m out of market, so I’ll be stuck watching this to the end. C’mon somebody, score!

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:07 PM EST up reply actions

What you don’t want to watch Kerry Collins?!? For old times sake!

by Woogie526 on Nov 2, 2008 4:08 PM EST up reply actions

Off topic

But did anyone see that Texas-Texas Tech game last night? What a finish. And if Texas Tech loses a game over the next 3 weeks (they still have a tough schedule ahead), we’d be set up for a classic title game showdown: Alabama and Penn St.

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:10 PM EST reply actions

that was pretty crazy, I was expecting crabtree to just step out of bounds for the easy field goal. I have no idea how he caught the ball, or got into the end zone, forget doing both.

by Phildo on Nov 2, 2008 4:13 PM EST up reply actions

I love

That it cut out for a commercial while the Titans were lining up for a FG. Good job fox.

by Woogie526 on Nov 2, 2008 4:13 PM EST reply actions

Didn’t cut away here, it was good. But that’s funny.

by Phildo on Nov 2, 2008 4:14 PM EST up reply actions

Glad this game is over

but I still hate the NFL OT. It’s so asinine that they play sudden death. I’m not saying they should go to the college system, but both teams should be guaranteed 1 possession in OT.

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:15 PM EST reply actions

I’d like the college system if they started at the 40 or the 50, the 25 is just too close.

I’d like a way to get punts or kickoffs involved, but I really can’t think of anything short of playing a whole extra quarter, but even then, nothing is guaranteed.

But you’re right, sudden death is lame.

by Phildo on Nov 2, 2008 4:22 PM EST up reply actions

BJ

Boys are really committing to the run … stacking the line.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 4:19 PM EST reply actions

uh oh

Giants in the Red Zone, grab the rolaids.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 4:23 PM EST reply actions

Damn

I just checked my fantasy score, I’m winning, but not by that much, and my opponent has both Eli and Jacobs. So pretty much, however the Giants score, I’m screwed. Let’s win 7-0 guys!

Nah, screw that, I don’t care that much about fantasy. Let’s win 49-0 (with Ward scoring 4 TDs, Bradshaw scoring 2, and the defense scoring the last one. I can dream, right?)

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

LOL

Great minds think alike.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 4:26 PM EST reply actions

Short kick by Carney

he’s got to do better than the 15-yard line.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 4:29 PM EST reply actions

yes!

Fred Robbins is awesome

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:31 PM EST reply actions

Hedgecock

great blocker, hands of stone

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:33 PM EST reply actions

oh sweet

just joined the game – no red jerseys. i’m pleasantly surprised.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 4:33 PM EST reply actions

hey!

C-Web actually catches it this time, unlike last year’s playoff game in big D.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 4:41 PM EST reply actions

quote of the day

from blogging the boys:

“bollinger coulda thrown that int quicker.”

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:42 PM EST reply actions

that was a mercy call

that should have been pi he had him after the ball was released too

by DoctorK16 on Nov 2, 2008 4:46 PM EST reply actions

Steve Smith!

and a defensive penalty to boot!

by cjmulrain on Nov 2, 2008 4:48 PM EST reply actions

wow

how hard is this for Aikman right now?

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 4:48 PM EST reply actions

Gotta love that

WTF look at Wade Phillips’ face.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 4:49 PM EST reply actions

thank god he's wearing a jacket for once

every week that i don’t have to see his nipples is a good week.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 4:49 PM EST up reply actions

TO is going to start flipping out.

by Phildo on Nov 2, 2008 4:54 PM EST reply actions

no doubt

the meltdown is on its way

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 4:55 PM EST up reply actions

hmmm

Garrett the 5 step drops might not work too well today

by DoctorK16 on Nov 2, 2008 4:58 PM EST reply actions

cowboys know

those screens & draws are coming.

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 5:04 PM EST reply actions

is there a reason why

they have to hike the ball with 0.0001 seconds left every time?

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 5:07 PM EST reply actions

this has been something

we’ve always seen with the Giants offense with Eli. No matter who has been calling the plays. It’s very strange.

by DoctorK16 on Nov 2, 2008 5:10 PM EST up reply actions

DE-FENSE chants

sounds like a mid-90s Knicks game at the Garden in there.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 5:11 PM EST reply actions

yes!

couldn’t have happened to a better guy

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 5:12 PM EST reply actions

Only way

the boys win is if we help them, and right now we are. Damn, damn, damn!

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 5:19 PM EST reply actions

it's your blog Ed

you can use worse words than “damn.”

just say “earmuffs.”

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 5:22 PM EST up reply actions

can't throw on every down

even with Dallas stacking the box, they have to get the run going.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 5:28 PM EST reply actions

Worst part of the Dallas TD

Aikman and Buck started yapping again.

by Woogie526 on Nov 2, 2008 5:31 PM EST reply actions

We are so lucky

Were so lucky they have brad johnson instead of tony romo

by Giantsfan77 on Nov 2, 2008 5:33 PM EST reply actions

Yes

But we must take advantage.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 5:36 PM EST reply actions

that's a huge score

and what the heck was that formation? looked like three WR, two TE…three split to the left and two up top? i was trying to count and i don’t have a TiVo.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 5:40 PM EST reply actions

i don't know

how they don’t bring bollinger in for the 2nd half.

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 5:48 PM EST up reply actions

yay

i heart the Cowboys backup quarterback situation.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 6:04 PM EST reply actions

hey, crayton

how’s that for tiptoeing?!

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 6:06 PM EST reply actions

wow

our d-line is flying!

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 6:11 PM EST reply actions

throwing on first down again

that makes sense, up three touchdowns and 30 yards away from the goalline.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 6:25 PM EST reply actions

Right

Geez, play to the scoreboard.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 6:35 PM EST up reply actions

wow

complete and utter garbage on that call on Tuck.

every week this shit happens. what a joke.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 6:28 PM EST reply actions

BS

Penalty. Another clean hit that draws a flag. Moron refs.

by Woogie526 on Nov 2, 2008 6:29 PM EST reply actions

Now that penalty

is helping the Boys put together a drive. Damn!

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 6:35 PM EST reply actions

classic Giants

1,064 opportunities to put a team away, and they go 0-fer.

they just can’t win in blowout fashion, it is impossible.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 6:35 PM EST reply actions

Problem is

the way they have gone about this. A little too loose and risky on offense.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 6:42 PM EST reply actions

Geez

Whatever the reason, the Giants have let the Cowboys stay in this game. It should be a four-TD blowout right now.

by Ed Valentine on Nov 2, 2008 6:47 PM EST reply actions

and it might get tighter

because they’re going to play it safe now.

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 6:49 PM EST up reply actions

Nice game so far...

now crush those cowboys!

Go Colts!

by Marked Hoosier on Nov 2, 2008 6:54 PM EST reply actions

No...

I am going to watch from home. And hope they start to turn on some of that magic they had in the past. It was nice to get used to them Colts winning… :)

Go Colts!

by Marked Hoosier on Nov 2, 2008 7:06 PM EST up reply actions

i've lived on the southside for four years

it’s really weird to see them struggle considering how dominant they’ve been in the regular season these past few years.

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Nov 2, 2008 7:09 PM EST up reply actions

Let’s see a bradshaw scrub breakout TD.

by Woogie526 on Nov 2, 2008 7:08 PM EST reply actions

no chance

they get the bye next week & then romo’s back the week after that. they are just biding their time until then.

by potroast on Nov 2, 2008 7:11 PM EST up reply actions

Not sure about Wade, but TO is sure to have some good quotes after the game.

by Phildo on Nov 2, 2008 7:14 PM EST up reply actions

ok, i'm out of here

good win. they needed to dominate this game & they did. let’s hope for more of the same next week in philly!
