New York Giants' notes, 10.07.08
Here are some New York Giants' notes to get your mind off Plaxico Burress -- or, maybe, to get my mind off Burress.
- Coach Tom Coughlin did find something to complain about following Sunday's 44-6 victory over Seattle -- John Carney's kickoffs.
- 'Embarrassed' by pre-season whipping, Cleveland hopes to do better against Giants this time.
- Neil Best reviews Ralph Vacchiano's book, 'The Making of a Quarterback.'
- Shaun Powell says the Giants keep winning while losing.
- NorthJersey.com grades the Giants' effort Sunday.

Did he mentioned that Troy Aikman said on radio that he will choose Romo over Manning any tim? Of course he will, Manning is married, Romo is not.
i hate
watching giants games where Aikman and Buck are commentating… they root against them every time.. Aikman is such a homer

I respectfully disagree...
When he’s doing the color on Gmen games, Moose tends to use the Giants as his personal toilet.
hahaha.

Hey, can the Saints have John Carney back now?
Our punter can kick off. He’s doing it now anyway. We need a guy who has his head on straight, even if he is 44 years old. Thanks, Gmen!
no
hahaha… i think we’re gonna hoard him

that Eli stuff is the almost the same thing I've been saying for years
except I wouldn’t say “might be” a better quarterback. If measured by years in the NFL, Eli is CLEARLY the better QB. However, it stands to reason. He got to run receiver routes for Peyton and had Cooper to run the routes for him. He understands the game from more than one position. Eli also had the advantage of having both Peyton AND Archie to turn to for advice, (though Archie swears he tried as much as he could to be hands off when it came to teaching the kids football). That said, Peyton is one helluva QB in his own right. These comparisons don’t really accomplish much, as at the end of the day it’s just two guys trying to earn a paycheck. What should be talked about the most with regards to the Manning family is their humanitarian efforts, their ability to succeed with such great pressures on them, and of course, their poise in the pocket. Both boys should be congratulated in their own right, for living a dream most of us have had, and doing it so admirably. In my book, Manning = Class Act
