Injury report

  • Shaun O'Hara is still in the hospital recovering from a toe infection. He is expected to be released in the morning. He is probably questionable.
  • Antonio Peirce is still battling the quad injury and he said it might take some more time.
  • Eli Manning is good to go calling the 'injury' a bruise.
  • Gerris Wilkinson is probably out with a strained MCL.
  • James Butler strained biceps.

These injuries are at critical spots but obviously everyone has been drooling  over our depth so now is the time to show it.  I think Peirce should sit out.  With no more bye weeks on tap we need him at full speed, especially against the better offenses. He was a lame duck on Monday, albeit an admirable lame duck. Blackburn looked like he belonged out there calling the plays. I liked what I saw. O'Hara injury is tricky. Before ESPN jinxed us by mentioning the consistency of our O-Line (22 straight games together-tops in the NFL) we were on a roll. Now that streak may end this week. But if leaving him on the sideline for this 1 game means having him at full strength for the next 10+ I say sit his ass.

Losing the battle to win the war could not be anymore relevant than this week. Plus this is a winnable game without these key guys. Regardless of them wanting to play I say sit em.

Agreed

Eli will play, I don’t think anyone will question that. O’Hara, Peirce and Wilkinson are too important to go out knicked and get hurt worse.

Butler…well maybe that’s a blessing. I’m not impressed with him.

RE:Butler

Maybe……Phillips hasn’t lit it up yet either.

We're only gonna score 17 points?

Yea

Phillips has been a ghost out there. We need him to start putting some hard hits we all heard about in the offseason.

Very true...

I think I only saw Phillips once Monday night….but that game is just a blur now. Apparently I did a little to much LDS back at Berkeley.
