And The Brad Johnson Era begins
It appears that the Romosexual has gone down with a broken pinky. So it appears now that Brad "Checkdown Charlie" Johnson has the job now, unless he's beaten by Brooks Bollinger (gasp). Wow, first Brady and now Romo.. Could life get any Better? Isn't McNabb just about due for a serious injury? or will we have to wait a few more weeks.

Romo
I agree that this is probably good for the Giants, but let’s not celebrate an injury. That will bring us bad karma and I’d rather beat the Cowboys with Romo in the lineup anyway. It shows we’re clearly a better team & there will be no excuses.

Careful, Hoya
Remember, we are one big hit away from the David Carr era ourselves. Let’s not gloat. It isn’t pretty.

True
But our locker room isn’t on the verge of implosion, and David Carr might actually be half decent behind a solid O-Line. Let’s face it, the Giants just need a game manager at Quarterback, a guy who’s not gonna turn it over all the time and Carr can do that, but when you shut down the run against the cowboys they become easier to beat.

I agree with potroast and etval
no need to be celebrating injuries, b/c every team gets them. We’ve already have a few and you can bet your bottom dollar we’ll have plenty more this year.
Besides, the ‘boys lost 2 games WITH Romo, so who needs him to get hurt. Not to mention that he was carrying my fantasy team…I’m actually almost upset about this injury! Ok, maybe not, I shouldn’t get carried away, but you get my point.

Be careful what you wish for.
For those who remember ; Tommy Maddox, Jay Schroeder and I’m sure I’m forgetting several more, backups have historically killed the Giants. Brad Johnson is as capable as any
on any given Sunday. I agree with pot on the Karma thing, look back 2 weeks ! If you want to be the best ,beat the best.
We're only gonna score 17 points?

you're exactly right
to add to that list, didn’t Kurt Kitnner beat the Giants as the Falcons backup in ’03?
yikes.

Oh and we do remember
the immortal Kent Graham knocking off the previously unbeaten Broncos, of course.

Kent Graham
Didn’t Amani have a ridiculous catch in the end zone to win that game, or am i thinking of another?

I don't think it was ridiculous
but was like a 50 yard bomb. and sadly Kent Graham was not a backup

he started that season as a backup
to Danny Kanell, who had started the previous season as Dave Brown’s backup, if memory serves. The next season the Giants decided to go with Graham as the starter, I think almost entirely based on that one game against the Broncos. Luckily, he failed miserably and they brought in Kerry Collins the next season.

Graham, Brown, Kanell...
now let’s all promise to never speak of this again.

Ken, Ken, Ken
If you are going to celebrate then you absolutely can’t say a word when a) Eli gets hurt b) the cowboys beat the giants w/Brad Johnson c) Romo comes back later in the season and the Cowboys beat the Giants in a playoff game. Remember TC getting the Giants to shut up and play the games. Pile on now and you may regret it later.

not piling on
However, it is worth noting that all the preseason hype on Dallas, was mainly cause of their skill players. But they still have the same line that got Romo killed in the playoff game last year, and again last week. Their D also does not impress me. This wasn’t one fluke hit, Romo took some hits last week.

One good thing to come out of this for Romo...
…could be that if Jessica Simpson (aka Yoko Romo) gets bored with a sidelined superstar, she slinks away to the next flavor of the season. Somehow I think he’d be better off!
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
