Osi only Giant heading to Pro Bowl

From Mike Garafolo at the Star-Ledger comes the news that Osi Umenyiora is the Giants' only Pro Bowler.

Personally, I think it's a shame that Plaxico Burress didn't get an invite.

Speaking of Shockey, he's a first alternate, which
shows the respect he gets.  If the Giants decide to move him, they might get a higher draft choice than might otherwise be expected.
Feagles should have made it.
As for Plax, at least he was recognized by being selected as a first alternate.  It proves his contributions have been noticed, if not with the kind of enthusiasm a Giants fan might want.
Osi's six sack game garnered a lot of attention.  He has a good shot at becoming a perennial Pro Bowler.

Feagles
is awesome and I agree that he should have made it, though to be fair I have absolutely no knowledge of how good SF's punter has been this year upon which to base my opinion.

By the way, the key to "the legend of Tony Romo" (vomit):  three Pro Bowlers on the offensive line.   Put him behind a shitty line and he's a mediocre quarterback.

Romo
The one area where you HAVE TO give Romo credit is that he can make plays while moving around. He does that consistently. Most QBs, like Eli, are in trouble when they have to move around. For Romo it's almost like he's better when he has to improvise a bit.

Good point.
Kind of reminds me of McNabb when he was younger and before he started becoming perenially wounded.Oh ...wait a minute ...hows that thumb?

Well,
given that SF's offense absolutely sucks and the need for punting has been much greater than any other team (or so it seems), it doesn't surprise me that much.

I've had to watch their abysmal offense all season; it's the only thing they show here on local TV in the bay.

donald driver
two TD this year.  TWO.  you could make an arguement that his teammate jennings (12 TD!) has had a better season.

donald driver: 78 rec, 1016 yds, 2 TD
plax: 65 rec, 935 yds, 10 TD
greg jennings: 50 rec, 878 yds, 12 TD

but you know who actually has the biggest beef?

marques colston: 87 rec, 1092 yds, 9 TD

how could he have possibly been jumped by driver?  he has more catches, more yards AND more touchdowns.

this pro bowl shit is a joke every year.

"Popularity Bowl"
is what it should be named, rather than "Pro Bowl".

It would be interesting to see how many of the votes came from people who know football players. All in all, though, it's a popularity vote.

i.e. ray lewis
what has he done this year?

maybe its because im in indy, but i think Gary Brackett deserved serious consideration at LB, especially with all the injuries the Colts have had to overcome.
