Eli Manning's body language has always been a source of concern for the Giants. Above and below are several examples why from Sunday's disastrous performance against Minnesota. Acting like that is not how a professional quarterback leads his team through a tough time.

These pictures speak volumes. Look in his eyes, the way he hangs his head. He has zero confidence in his ability

Garafolo made a great assessment (as usual)of Eli yesterday. He said its like Eli is building a house of cards, and then just as he goes to put the top card on the house, he sneezes and blows the whole thing down, then he has to rebuild from the bottom again. I thought that was pretty accurate

i needed another reason to be super pissed off today. i blame archie manning. since day 1 he has been babying eli and shielding him from the media etc. someone needs to seriously kick eli in the balls until he pulls his head out of his ass and starts playing football. honestly, if you have the opportunity to play QB for ANY NFL team, how are you so emotionless?

by the way, ive been dumping on eli so much i forgot to bitch about the o-line and all their stupid penalties. the ghost of petigout still haunts us!

Should we call him 'Twilight?'

As in 'Twilight Zone' Manning. I used the word 'disturbing' on Monday and I think it was accurate. At this stage of his career I was very surprised to see Eli look so confused and out of sorts.

Let me pose this question

I think we would all agree Sunday was about as bad a game as any QB has ever had.

My question is this: Can a game like this have long term effects on Eli? I can't help but think he is truly at some kind of crossroads in his career.

You know what I keep thinking about when I think about his performance on Sunday? Rick Ankiel. I will never forget watching him throw all those wild pitches, feeling truly sorry for him, and Tim McCarver saying "this is something that could kill his career, and I'm not exaggerating" At the time he said that, I really thought T-Mac was being over-dramatic; but boy was he ever right.

I just can't help but think this Sunday is a major game in the career of Eli Manning.

What do you guys think?

i was wondering the same thing. how can so many people get fired up just watching and he's the god damn QB and he doesnt give a crap?

if crushing eli in Halo 3 is what it takes, i will gladly volunteer. he will wither under the might of my dual plasma pistol nail gun combo.

It's swagger man, and Eli ain't got it.

All that tells the other team as well as his teammates is that he knows he can't do it.

In four years the only time I ever saw him even pump his fist a bit was in the great comeback against the Broncos. He's never shoved a defender, called out a player for screwing up, and has never looked determined to win at all costs.

In short, our quarterback is like Dr Phil...a pussy!
